The Scheme of the Electricity Tycoon

Itay Rom's HaMakor investigation exposes the scheme of the power tycoon operating in Israel.

In this project, I was asked to solve two main problems: to clearly and engagingly explain the money trail of the affair to the viewers, and to transfer the written protocols from the arbitration process onto the screen.

For the explanations, I created a 3D world with elements of board games and cards. To create the cards, I utilized an AI tool to generate an 'illustrated' style for the people and companies involved.

For the protocols, we recorded the desired segments and swapped the voices using an AI tool. I generated images of the figures in the desired space and used a Lip Sync tool to animate the speakers. Because the current level of AI tools sometimes produces results that are visually jarring, we realized we needed a kind of filter between the output and the viewer. Therefore, we projected the result onto a screen in a conference room location and filmed it from various angles.

One of the speakers had passed away, and we took great care to handle the matter sensitively, in order to show respect to the individual and their family who collaborated with us.
